Taking place on 17-18 September 2011 at the Broadwater Parklands, the Gold Coast Acoustic Music Festival aims to provide an exciting weekend of festivities while promoting and providing opportunities not only for up and coming musicians but also for established musical artists. The annual festival brings together different talented local and international musicians from diverse range of genres including folk, bluegrass and roots. Participants from our Surfers Paradise family accommodation will be able to experience different musical styles from laid back music to upbeat bluegrass, Cajun and gypsy music.

Every year, the Gold Coast Acoustic Festival showcases an incredible line up of musicians and this year is certainly not an exception. Music lovers from our holiday apartments Surfers Paradise can look forward to seeing brilliant performances from Asa Broomhall, Balyana, Daniel Champagne, Frencham Smith, Mama Juju, Simon Thomas and so much more.

Aside from excellent musical presentations, the two day free for all event will also feature workshops for aspiring musicians that include guitar, banjo, mandolin and fiddle lessons. You can also learn proper songwriting as well as techniques in singing pigeon English, Cajun, Bluegrass and Celtic. The workshop will also showcase jam sessions and open mic for newbies to advanced musicians.
